Not a bad ToC for me this week. No negatives for me! Plus a few non-movers this week too. There's a one shot in this issue called 'Glass Feet', which I'm guessing is romance. Same goes for the MMM one next week. And the 'Curry Prince' one sounds like a slice-of-life. Hungry Joker's off the bottom, but is still doing poorly along with the other newbies. Next week, it's One Piece's 700th chapter! Lard Gad! Plus the next arc looks very interesting, whatever it'll be. Also, it's been 4 years since Baby Beel first graced us with his little pecker. Happy Birthday, Beelzebub! Thanks for reading, see ya next week! ^.^

    1. I don't read it, but for it to rank so consistently well means it might be a good read... And thanks for reading :)

  3. What do the bracketed numbers mean? As in Toriko 223(216).

    1. Oh, it's the chapter of the manga appearing in JUMP, and the chapter that's being ranked. So Toriko chapter 223 was in this week's issue, but chapter 216 was ranked.

    2. wow thats way behind O.O
in bakuman the results came in 1 week xDD .
Hungry Joker gots a chance :O now since this the current arc is awesome *_* .
Why are World Trigger and Koisuru edition are in bold ?

    3. Nah, JUMP doesn't order the series based on the week before. It's 7 issues - trust me. Sorry, Hungry Joker and Koisuru Edison are both in bold because that's my font for series that aren't being ranked, hence why the Cover Page and CPs are in bold also. From now on, I'll put this at the beginning of every post.

It's only a side project and I really haven't updated it as much as I said I would, mostly due to laziness... Haha it's not nearly as interesting as this blog.

  4. By the looks of it, the next series to be cancelled are going to be Shinmai Fukei Kiruko-san, Cross Manage, or Hungry Joker. It's such a shame how new series are constantly being cancelled and never get the chance to shine.

    1. Yeah, sucks, I know. But that's JUMP for ya. Like 1 out of 3 new series actually go on to succeed, like Assassination Classroom, Nisekoi and apparently Shokugeki no Souma.

    2. i'm hoping World trigger will keep serialization, it's very intiguing so far.
IMO all the long running series(mostly meaning one piece, naruto and bleach) shouldn't be ranked, because they are the main reason why new series are being cut.

    3. Haha they are also the main reason why JUMP sells. Don't forget the mangaka use the rankings as a means of competing, so if new series rank low, it'll motivate the mangaka to work harder and improve the story regardless of whether it works out or not.

    4. true, but i meant(but didnt write it properly) that those series shouldnt count towards the serialization of the new series, like they said in bakuman, it's unfair that most readers just vote for their favourite series, even if it was a terrible chapter.

    5. I understand your point, but don't forget that a shitty chapter to you may be an excellent chapter to someone else, and vice versa.

    1. I don't recom(m)end re(a)ding ma(nga) online. I encou(r)ag(e) you to buy m(a)nga to support the mangaka and make his (d)reams com(e) t(r)ue. (.net)

    2. Thats really clever way to give a URL :P !

Would be better if you did same for .net too xDD

    3. Yeah, I left that on the end to be funny.
