JUMP Issue #49 Info

One Piece 726 (Cover & Lead CP)
Drump by Kazuki Takahashi (One Shot, 59 pg.)

I'm back! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've just had to adjust to a new way of life. But now I'm settling in and my posting should be regular. Add that to the fact that I'm a lazy P.O.S. and there you go.

Also, I got a Wii U and that's eating up much of my time. Add me on Miiverse, my NNID's TheNotoriousJOUA. I made my Mii a black guy because, well, who doesn't want to be a black guy? Black guys have such big... hearts.

Nice to see my selected series doing well. Especially Beelzebub. Wish I could say the same for Bleach. Looks like Kurokuroku and Hime-dol'll be getting the axe fairly soon. How have your series been getting on?

Seeing as I haven't posted much in October, and World Trigger is my MotM, I guess there's not much point in covering it today and I'll choose another one for November. Ah well, sucks.

Naw, I'm kidding. World Trigger will be my MotM for November.

Anyway, that's it for this week! Actually, no, because there's still a ToC to come out this week. Thanks for reading, see ya next - I mean - this week! ^.^

That's it for this week. Give your reactions to the ToC in the comments below! Don't forget to Follow me on Twitter, become a Follower of this blog, or Like my page on Facebook. See ya next week! ^.^

One Piece (Lead CP/Cover)
Assassination Classroom, Hime-dol, Oneshot by Youichi Amano (49 pages) (CP)

+

• One Piece is on top
• Assassination Classroom stays in 3rd place
• Shokugeki no Souma retains its 4th place spot from 2 issues back
• Nisekoi moves up one place to 5th

-

• Beelzebub drops to 8th from 5th

Kuroko no Basket: 6th > 7th

Haikyuu!!: 7th > 8th

Kochikame: 10th > 9th

Soul Catcher(S): 12th > 10th

Smoky B.B.: No change at 11th

Mutou Black: 13th > 12th

Sorry this is late. Had to work, then went to get wasted, so no time to do this.

A good ToC this week. Very shocked to see Gintama where it is, though. World Trigger seems to be holding its own nicely in the ToC. Also shocked to see Mutou Black end so quickly. One Piece gets the Lead CP and Cover next issue, AC and Hime-dol get the CP. There's also a one-shot by mangaka Youichi Amano, dunno what it's about.

Next week is a double-issue. For those of you who don't know what this means, it's that next week's issue will account for 2 weeks. So in theory, we're getting chapters next week and a one-week break, in contrast to the common misconception of there being 2 chapters in 1 issue.

As for my Manga of the Month, August shall be for... Toriko!!

That's pretty much it for this week. Thanks for reading, see ya next week! ^.^

Toriko, Haikyuu!! (CP)+

• One Piece stays at 1st
• Shokugeki no Souma is up to 3rd from 5th
• Beelzebub moves up to 6th from 8th

-

• Gintama stays in 10th from... 3 issues back, I believe
• Bleach, Bleach, Bleach... up to 11th from 12th, but still in the bottom 5

Other Changes

• Toriko: No change at 2nd (2 issues back)
• PSI Kusuo Saiki: No change at 4th
• Naruto: 3rd > 5th
• World Trigger: 9th > 7th
• Haikyuu!!: No change at 8th (2 issues back)
• Soul Catcher(S): 10th > 9th
• Kochikame: 13th > 10th
• Koisuru Edison: 15th > 12th
• Cross Manage: 14th > 13th

An ok ToC for me this week. Beelzebub's recent rankings appear to be on an upward trend, Bleach's are just awful. As for Mutou Black's first ranking - ouch. Even Soul Catcher(S)' was better. I bet Smoky B.B. will get a first ranking of... 10th. Just throwing that out there.

Akira Toriyama's new series starts next week - and well done to those of you who could see that I was joking about not knowing who he was -.-. I think this'll be a short series.

Also, general consensus (which actually consisted of only one person - you lazy cunts) says that I should just stick to the current format and show changes from last week, instead of for the past 5, so that I what I shall do ^.^

Y'all remember Akira Amano, mangaka of Katekyo Hitman Reborn!? Well she's starting a new series called ēlDLIVE in the new Jump Live app, which launches in August and features exclusive content from Jump mangaka. Shinmai Fukei Kiruko-san's also returning and'll be in the app.

Finally, you may have noticed that Kuroko no Basket is highlighted in green. This is because I have chosen it as my Manga of the Month, so I'm gonna tell you a little about it and, if you haven't already, encourage you to check it out.

Kuroko no Basket (Kuroko's Basketball), written by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, is about 5 legendary basketballers, known as the "Generation of Miracles" , who each played for a middle school team, but went to different high schools. However, there was actually a sixth member called Kuroko Tetsuya, who now goes to Seirin High, and now wants to help Seirin become the best in Japan, with the help of his naturally-talented teammate, Tagami Kaiga, by taking on his former teammates - one-by-one.

Kuroko no Basket has been serialised since December 2008 and so far has 21 volumes released, with sales of over 9,000,000 copies in Japan. Volumes have frequently appeared on lists of best-selling manga in Japan. The first season of the anime premiered in April 2012 and ended in September 2012. A second season is also set to air this October.

That's it for this week, my laptop crapped out on me AGAIN, so I'm making use of the library and kinda had to rush this. Why can't Google make Blogger tablet/mobile/friendly? Thanks for reading - see you next week! ^.^

Ahhh, it feels so good to be back! I'm sorry I've been away for so long, there were things in my life I had to prioritise and deal with, but now I'm freeeee!!!

Phwoar, Assassination Classroom is tearing up the ToC like a BBW's ass! One Piece is absent again, which sucks, but as long as Oda is ok then that's all that matters. Not much else I can say seeing as I've been away from manga for so long. I know that Hungry Joker and Kiruko-san have been cancelled, can anybody fill me in on what's happened while I've been away? Any shocks? Surges? Slumps? What are the new series like?

• Kiruko-san: 16th > 17th

An odd ToC this week, which could largely be due to Naruto's absence. Kuroko no Basket is 1st for a 2nd ranked week in a row. One Piece falling to 3rd - haven't seen that in a while. Shokugeki no Souma's fallen out of the top 5 for the first time in God knows how long. Nisekoi's also dropped too. But what surprises me the most is that Koisuru Edison's had a pretty big jump out of the bottom 5! But Gintama's replaced it. Can't say I didn't see that coming to be honest. Guess Edison got sick of the interracial gangbang and Gintama wanted a piece. Oh well. Got some mo' oneshots next week, and it looks like Medaka Box is ending too. Which fuels the speculation that Ohba and Obata's new series is in fact coming. Either way, I can't wait for the coming weeks.

Oh, and next week's a double issue, meaning that the chapters will account for 2 issues and JUMP is on a week's break. That's pretty much it. Thanks for reading, see you next week! ^.^

A good ToC for me this week - no negatives! One Piece is unexpectedly absent as Oda is sick - here's hoping he makes a speedy recovery. My baby, Bleach, has injected steroids and had a major boost. The interracial gangbang between well, you know the three, continues. The one shot in this week's issue sounds like a gag manga. Shokugeki no Souma gets colour pages for the 2nd out of 3 weeks because it's just that awesome. Thanks for reading, see yo next week! ^.^

* It appears I've been getting Koisuru Edison wrong. I was always one chapter ahead and it'actually 2 chapters per issue. But its first rank is next week, so everything should be correct then.

Pretty good ToC this week for me, Shokugeki no Souma continues its unexpected cockslap. We should be getting more details of the new Gintama movie, that's due for release this Summer, this month. It seems to me  like Hungry Joker, Kiruko-san and Cross・Manage are having a fucking gangbang at the bottom of the ToC and keep changing positions. Otherwise, not a lot I can say here.

• AC is 1st!
• Shokugeki no Souma is 5th
• Nisekoi stays in 7th place, which is OK
• Gintama rises to 8th, from its last ranking of 11th
• Beelzebub doesn't move at 9th

Other Changes:

• PSI Kusuo Saiki: 6th > 2nd
• Toriko: 1st > 3rd
• Naruto: non-mover at 4th
• Haikyuu!!: 7th > 6th
• Kochikame: non-mover at 10th

• Hungry Joker: 15th > 13th
• Cross Manage: 13th > 14th
• Shinmai Fukei Kiruko-san: 14th > 15th

Not a bad ToC for me this week. No negatives for me! Plus a few non-movers this week too. There's a one shot in this issue called 'Glass Feet', which I'm guessing is romance. Same goes for the MMM one next week. And the 'Curry Prince' one sounds like a slice-of-life. Hungry Joker's off the bottom, but is still doing poorly along with the other newbies. Next week, it's One Piece's 700th chapter! Lard Gad! Plus the next arc looks very interesting, whatever it'll be. Also, it's been 4 years since Baby Beel first graced us with his little pecker. Happy Birthday, Beelzebub! Thanks for reading, see ya next week! ^.^

Good week for my selected series. Another poor week for the new series, but given time, may rise. Surprised to see SnS drop so low. We have a one shot next week called "Kokkuri Yaai!" by Gondaira Hitsuji, sounds like a romcom.

• Beelzebub hasn't moved at 10th
• Nisekoi also seems to be unmoved from its last ranking, which was 7th. Still ok.

• Cross Manage: 11th > 15th
• Shinmai Fukei Kiruko-san: 7th > 16th

An ok week overall for my selected manga. A pretty shitty week for the newbies, especially Kiruko-san dropping 9 places to damn-near bottom. And Retsu!!! Date-senpai has also been cancelled to make way for the new series, which I forgot to mention last week: Koi suru Edison (which starts this week) and World Trigger (which starts next week). I'm guessing Koi suru Edison has something to do with inventions (don't know why I think that) and sounds like a gag manga. World Trigger makes me think of gangstas, so I'm thinking something action-y.

Also, next week's JUMP will be out a day earlier, so next Tuesday! Woooot!

• Beelzebub rises to 10th

-

• One Piece drops to 2nd
• Bleach drops to 12th
• Gintama drops to 13th - and just above the bottom 5
• AC dropped outside of the bottom 5 to 6th for the first time I think

Kurogane is cancelled - didn't see that coming! Actually I kinda did, but not this quickly

Other Changes

• Naruto: 2nd > 1st

Kurogane has ended its run. Ah well, out with the old, in with the new! Shokugeki no Shoma will take its place as a stand-out. It's pretty good so far, check it out. Looks like it's also stealing votes off AC. Also, Toriko's confirmed to have a movie out.

I'm not gonna do the "Other Changes" until next week, as I can't be bothered to look at last week's rankings. I'm also not doing the rankings I've missed. Think of this as a... rebirth...

Anyway, it's grrrrrrrrreat to be back! One Piece, AC and Nisekoi have been doing nicely, I see. I've also gotta do a lotta catching up on manga I've also missed, and I need some new series to start reading. Maybe I'll add them to this blog... SFK's 1st rank doesn't look too good. Maybe it'll rise. Maybe. Shokugeki no Souma also gets its first ranking next week - apparently it's pretty popular. Only time will tell. And I'm sorry for being away so long, can you find it in the bottom of your heart to forgive me?

Oh, and wasswa, if you're reading this, go on! Delete the bookmark! I don't care! But just know that once you do, we're over. Done. Finit. Kaput.

Now time to listen to Frank Ocean and cry about my shitty-ass love life. And in his song, "Pink Matter", there's a nice little DBZ reference in there ;)

+

• Assassination Classroom is 1st! Oh yeah, baby!
• Nisekoi back up to 6th
• Bleach up to 7th

-

• Gintama stays 10th, one palce above the bottom 5
• Reborn! in the bottom 5 again
• Kurogane also ranked poorly
• Takamagahara unsurprisingly ranked last. I'd expect it's already been cancelled, and that JUMP has told the author to wrap up the series in the next few chapters

Other changes:

• Toriko: No change from 2nd
• Naruto: 4th > 3rd
• PSI Kusuo Saiki: No change from 4th
• Sket Dance: 8th > 5th
• Haikyuu!!: 7th > 8th

• Koisome Momiji: 14th > 15th

ToC this week ain't too bad, Gintama and Reborn! continue their slump. Doubt it matters much for Reborn! anyway. The Naruto chapter being ranked is where Tobi's identity is revealed, surprised it didn't get first and also lost to Assassination Classroom. Plus, Retsu!! Date-Senpai gets its first ranking next week, with Cross Manage's coming the week after. If anyone's read them or knows if they're good, please take some of your cherished time to tell me.
