  • One Piece and Assassination Classroom have switched places. Again.
  • Gintama leaps up to 4th from 9th
-
  • Shokugeki no Souma drops from 2nd to 7th
  • Bleach drops back to 9th from 6th
  • Beelzebub drops from 10th to 16th - rock bottom of the ToC

Other Changes

  • Toriko: 3rd > 5th
  • Naruto: 4th > 6th
  • World Trigger: No change at 8th

  • Soul Catcher(S): No change at 12th
  • Kochikame: 13th > 14th
  • Kurokuroku: 14th > 15th

A meh ToC for me this week. Good to see Gintama rise so high. Haikyuu!! also had a nice leap - from bottom to 3rd. Shokugeki no Souma had an unexpected drop. Beelzebub is shockingly low. Kurokuroku and Hime-Dol! have both had disappointing starts.

We still have the big news to expect for next issue. Last week I said it would be in this issue, that was a mistake. Sorry.

Now it's time for my MotM slot! For August and September, I;ve been pimping Toriko. Time for s'more whorin'.

Toriko is a written and illustrated by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro. It has been serialized in Jump since May 19, 2008, and has been collected into 25 tankōbon volumes. It follows the adventure of Toriko, a Gourmet Hunter, as he searches for rare, diverse foods to complete a full-course meal. A man with inhuman ability, he utilizes his incredible strength and knowledge of the animal kingdom to capture ferocious, evasive, and rare beasts to further his menu. He is accompanied by the weak and timid chef Komatsu, who, inspired by Toriko's ambition, travels with him to improve his culinary skills and to find rare ingredients. Toriko and his friends often fight against the Gourmet Corps, who seek to take control of the world's entire food supply and are looking for the highly-sought after ingredient GOD, which the legendary Gourmet Hunter Acacia used to end the war that took place five-hundred years before the series began.
The manga series is licensed for an English-language release by Viz Media in North America and Madman Entertainment in Australasia. Madman also licensed the anime series in Australasia, while Funimation Entertainment has licensed it in North America.

Seeing as this is the last week in September, my next MotM will be...

*drum roll pls*

... World Trigger! *fanfare* *rapturous applause*

That's it for this week. Give your reactions to the ToC in the comments below! Don't forget to Follow me on Twitter, become a Follower of this blog, or Like my page on Facebook. See ya next week! ^.^

Amano (49 pages) (CP)

+
  • One Piece is on top
  • Assassination Classroom stays in 3rd place
  • Shokugeki no Souma retains its 4th place spot from 2 issues back
  • Nisekoi moves up one place to 5th
-
  • Beelzebub drops to 8th from 5th
  • Wow... Gintama's 2nd from bottom at 12th...
Other Changes:

Naruto: 4th > 2nd
World Trigger: 8th > 6th
Kuroko no Basket: 6th > 7th
Haikyuu!!: 7th > 8th
Kochikame: 10th > 9th
Soul Catcher(S): 12th > 10th
Smoky B.B.: No change at 11th
Mutou Black: 13th > 12th

Sorry this is late. Had to work, then went to get wasted, so no time to do this.

A good ToC this week. Very shocked to see Gintama where it is, though. World Trigger seems to be holding its own nicely in the ToC. Also shocked to see Mutou Black end so quickly. One Piece gets the Lead CP and Cover next issue, AC and Hime-dol get the CP. There's also a one-shot by mangaka Youichi Amano, dunno what it's about.

Next week is a double-issue. For those of you who don't know what this means, it's that next week's issue will account for 2 weeks. So in theory, we're getting chapters next week and a one-week break, in contrast to the common misconception of there being 2 chapters in 1 issue.

As for my Manga of the Month, August shall be for... Toriko!!

That's pretty much it for this week. Thanks for reading, see ya next week! ^.^

- Kuro Clock (New Series by Atsushi Nakamura)

JUMP Issue #34

- Hime Doll (New Series by Kazurô Kyô, Author of After School Idol)

JUMP Issue #35

- Ginga Patrol Jako (New Series by Akira Toriyama)

+

  • One Piece is in 1st
  • Assassination Classroom moves down to 2nd, from 1st
  • Shokugeki no Souma stays in 5th
  • Nisekoi down 1 place to 7th, still OK
  • Beelzebub moves out of the bottom 5 to 8th...
-
  • ... And its place is taken by Bleach, which has fallen from 7th to 12th
Other Changes:

  • Naruto: 4th > 3rd
  • PSI Kusuo Saiki: No change at 4th (2 issues back)
  • Kuroko no Basket: 3rd > 6th
  • World Trigger: No change at 9th (2 issues back)
  • Sket Dance: No change at 10th (2 issues back)
  • Kochikame: 9th > 13th
  • Cross Manage: 11th > 13th
  • Koisuru Edison: 10th > 14th
An OK ToC for me this week. Poor Bleach. Assassination Classroom's first anniversary is next week. Boy, does time fly! More details about Nisekoi's anime will be in the next issue, and I'm also hearing that Sket Dance is ending next week... We've also got some new series starting up over the next few weeks. We've got Kuro Clock (probably supernatural, never heard of the author), Hime Doll (sounds Ecchi) and Ginga Patrol Jako, which is probably something to do with space. It's also by Akira Toriyama, who I've never even heard of. I assume this is his first work. Nevertheless, I wish all of them the best of luck with their new series. And this also means some more series are getting the cut to make room. My money would be on Sket Dance, if rumours are correct, Koisuru Edison and Cross Manage.

Things are getting pretty stale around here, so I'm gonna be making a few changes. Starting from next month, I'm gonna have a Manga of the Month theme, and shall change my display picture and background to promote said manga. Next month's manga will be... *drumroll* Kuroko no Basket!

Also, I wonder if I should start showing the rankings of manga from as far as 5 issues back, so we can see trends in the rankings and therefore make easier judgements. What do you guys think? Should I start doing that, or stick to his format? Let me know in the comments. As always, thanks for reading! See you next week! ^.^

*OFF TOPIC* So, following on from Microsoft's u-turn on their DRM, always online and backwards compatibility policies, will this motivate you to get the Xbox One? Or will you not give Microsoft a second chance? If not, which consoles are you going with next-gen? For me, it's looking like Wii U and PS4 so far... Let me know your thoughts!

  • Assassination Classroom is 2nd
  • One Piece is 3rd. Gotta admit, it looks a little weird...
-
  • Shokugeki no Souma slips from 3rd to 6th
  • Nisekoi fallsfrom 4th to 8th
  • Beelzebub moves to 12th from 10th
  • Gintama moves into the bottom 5 at 13th
Other Changes:
  • Kuroko no Basket: (2 chapters back, no change at 1st)
  • PSI Kusuo Saiki: 5th > 4th
  • Toriko: (3 chapters back, no change at 5th)
  • Haikyuu!!: (2 chapters back, no change at 7th)
  • Nisekoi: 4th > 8th
  • World Trigger: 7th > 9th
  • Koisuru Edison: 14th > 10th
  • Sket Dance: 8th > 11th
  • Medaka Box: 15th > 14th
  • Cross Manage: 13th > 15th
  • Hungry Joker: 17th > 16th
  • Kiruko-san: 16th > 17th

An odd ToC this week, which could largely be due to Naruto's absence. Kuroko no Basket is 1st for a 2nd ranked week in a row. One Piece falling to 3rd - haven't seen that in a while. Shokugeki no Souma's fallen out of the top 5 for the first time in God knows how long. Nisekoi's also dropped too. But what surprises me the most is that Koisuru Edison's had a pretty big jump out of the bottom 5! But Gintama's replaced it. Can't say I didn't see that coming to be honest. Guess Edison got sick of the interracial gangbang and Gintama wanted a piece. Oh well. Got some mo' oneshots next week, and it looks like Medaka Box is ending too. Which fuels the speculation that Ohba and Obata's new series is in fact coming. Either way, I can't wait for the coming weeks.

Oh, and next week's a double issue, meaning that the chapters will account for 2 issues and JUMP is on a week's break. That's pretty much it. Thanks for reading, see you next week! ^.^

*UPDATE* My laptop, which runs on Windows 8, appears to have entered some kind of "Automatic Repair" loop, where it doesn't even start repairing; it just keeps rebooting and rebooting. If anybody could shed some light on this issue, that'd be great. This could also mean posts coming out slower :(

Pretty good ToC this week for me, Shokugeki no Souma continues its unexpected cockslap. We should be getting more details of the new Gintama movie, that's due for release this Summer, this month. It seems to me  like Hungry Joker, Kiruko-san and Cross・Manage are having a fucking gangbang at the bottom of the ToC and keep changing positions. Otherwise, not a lot I can say here.

Not a bad ToC for me this week. No negatives for me! Plus a few non-movers this week too. There's a one shot in this issue called 'Glass Feet', which I'm guessing is romance. Same goes for the MMM one next week. And the 'Curry Prince' one sounds like a slice-of-life. Hungry Joker's off the bottom, but is still doing poorly along with the other newbies. Next week, it's One Piece's 700th chapter! Lard Gad! Plus the next arc looks very interesting, whatever it'll be. Also, it's been 4 years since Baby Beel first graced us with his little pecker. Happy Birthday, Beelzebub! Thanks for reading, see ya next week! ^.^

An OK ToC this week. Nice to see Souma and AC high. But Bleach, dafuq? Poor Kiruko-san and Hungry Joker though.
We have a one-shot called "Glass Feet" next week. Sounds like romance. Speaking of romance, it's Valentine's Day this week! So girls, give your men the V, and guys, give your ladies the D (see what I did there?). Just don't give each-other VDs (does my genius have no limitations?).
